Support Group
Students from OT 615: Applied Neuroscience for Occupational
Therapy attended monthly meetings of The Olean Parkinson’s
Disease Support Group organized by Jamie Fichter, MS, OTR/L.
Students educated participants & their caregivers on adaptive
equipment, exercises targeting rigidity, strategies to manage
bradykinesia, and fall prevention techniques.
Additionally, students helped & participated in the 2nd annual
Parkinson’s Moving Day event and fundraiser to raise support
for this incredible group!
